In the style of Laura Ingalls Wilder, we offer amazing learning opportunities in an authentic old style log cabin, a crafty workshop and the "Raven's Nest," a fiber arts studio nestled above the workshop. The site is situated on a historic Swedish farmsted established in the 1860's with original buildings. Located on a bluff above Lake Pepin, the ranch has direct access to the Rustic Road, which meanders through the Pine Creek wilderness and three eco-systems.

Classes offered are typically from May through November. Subjects range from hands-on folksy art that is crafty to fine art. This year we are offering: Natural Soap/Laundry/Balms, Ladder Bracelets, Natural Wool Dyeing, Flint Knapping, Women's Soul Enhancement Retreat, Woodblock Printmaking, Historic Native American Cultural Experience + Art for families, Natural Horsemanship, Afro-Brazilian Drumming, Portable Brick Oven & Pizza, Fruit & Herb Wine Making and more.

Discounts: (Limited to one discount per student per class)

Local attendees who live in the area (Bay City, Maiden Rock, Stockholm, Pepin) are eligible for a 10% discount on tuition only.

Family Discounts are available to students age 15 years or younger attending a class (classes vary for availability to youth--see class descriptions) along with an adult. The Tuition Discount is 25% and does not include materials.

Overnight Options:

We offer limited on-site camping for students: $15 per night (access to restrooms and a shower plus refrigerator/microwave/hot plates and coffee makers). Wood is also available for campfires in designated spots.
